Manager / Senior Manager - Indirect Procurement | Consumer Durable Manufacturing | Mumbai | 20-30 LPA

A leading Consumer Durable Manufacturing organization is looking to strengthen its Indirect Procurement function by hiring experienced procurement professionals who can drive strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, supplier partnerships, and cost optimization across a diverse portfolio of indirect spend categories.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals who have built their careers in manufacturing procurement and are looking to take ownership of strategic sourcing initiatives while partnering closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, IT, and Supply Chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for indirect procurement across Capital (Capex) and Operational (Opex) spend.

- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract management.

- Drive procurement of indirect categories supporting manufacturing operations, plant expansion, engineering projects, and business support functions.

- Identify and implement cost optimization, value engineering, localization, and supplier development initiatives.

- Build long-term strategic supplier relationships and establish supplier performance management frameworks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives and project timelines.

- Ensure procurement governance, compliance, process standardization, and continuous improvement across procurement operations.

- Support new product development, plant expansion, engineering projects, and operational excellence initiatives.

Candidate Profile

- 8-15 years of procurement experience.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Indirect Procurement within a manufacturing environment.

- Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier development, contract management, and commercial negotiations.

- Exposure to procurement supporting manufacturing operations, engineering projects, plant expansion, or capital investments will be an advantage.

- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

- Hands-on experience with SAP MM or similar ERP systems.

- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
