Job Title: Manager / Sr. Manager - Finance & Accounts

Location: Mumbai

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience: 8-12 Years (3+ years of experience into Logistics & Freight Forwarding)

Role Overview:

Responsible for end-to-end financial accounting, compliance, and reporting functions, including supervision of payables & receivables, banking operations, GST reconciliations, MIS reporting, and coordination with auditors. The role requires strong hands-on experience in SAP FI or similar ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise Accounts Payables (AP), including vendor management, invoice processing, and timely payments to suppliers.

- Oversee Accounts Receivables (AR), ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts.

- Handle banking operations, including dealing with banks for domestic and foreign receipts & payments, LC/BG, and other trade-related transactions.

- Perform and review bank reconciliations on a periodic basis, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.

- Prepare and analyze periodical MIS reports, including customer-wise profitability analysis for services provided to exporters and importers.

- Ensure regular matching of revenue with direct expenses, maintaining accuracy in cost allocation and margin analysis.

- Oversee timely accounting of all indirect expenses, ensuring completeness and compliance with accounting standards.

- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in GST reconciliations (CGST / SGST / IGST), with specific focus on Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims and availment.

- Manage and ensure hands-on operation of SAP FI (or similar accounting/ERP systems) for accurate financial reporting and controls.

- Lead the finalization of annual accounts, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

- Coordinate with Statutory and Tax Auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits and closure of audit observations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in SAP FI or similar ERP systems

- In-depth knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Banking operations

- Sound understanding of GST regulations and reconciliations

- Experience in MIS reporting and financial analysis

- Strong knowledge of financial closing & audit processes

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
