Manager / Senior Manager / AVp - Treasury Compliance & Market Risk

Role Overview:

We are seeking an astute and seasoned Treasury Compliance & Market Risk Professional to join our team in the BFSI, Investments & Trading department.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive compliance oversight and advisory for the banks Treasury operations.

You will ensure that all trading, investment, and market activitiesspanning Forex, Derivatives, Investments, and Liquidity managementstrictly align with internal risk appetite and external statutory mandates.

This position demands a high-caliber expert who can seamlessly balance technical risk assessments, changing RBI/SEBI guidelines, and high-impact stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Advisory & Regulatory Implementation:

Serve as the principal subject matter expert on RBI and SEBI regulations governing Treasury functions, capital markets, and foreign exchange.

Evaluate and implement regulatory frameworks concerning Liquidity norms (e., LCR, NSFR), investment classification, and valuation guidelines.

Review, refine, and continuously update internal Treasury policies, trading mandates, and operational guidelines to prevent statutory breaches.

Assess and provide compliance clearance for new product rollouts (NPAP) within Treasury, Derivatives, and structured products.

Market Risk & Risk Assessment:

Oversee and evaluate Market Risk management frameworks, including Value at Risk (VaR), stress testing, and sensitivity analysis across trading desks.

Conduct independent risk assessments of complex treasury transactions, hedging strategies, and portfolio concentrations.

Ensure robust monitoring of deal execution, limit utilization (e., stop-loss, counterparty limits), and front-to-back treasury controls.

Governance, Reporting & Audit Management:

Prepare and present comprehensive governance reporting dashboards for the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), Risk Management Committee, and senior leadership.

Lead and coordinate regulatory reporting schedules, ensuring timely, accurate submissions to central banks and market regulators.

Drive the end-to-end management of internal, external, and regulatory audits (such as RBI inspections) targeting Treasury and Market Risk operations.

Formulate and implement robust corrective action plans (CAPA) to mitigate highlighted operational or structural compliance vulnerabilities.

Required Candidate Profile:

Experience & Background:

Total Experience: 6-18 years of post-qualification experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank, Primary Dealer, or Tier-1 Financial Institution.

Core Specialization: Strong track record in Treasury Front/Middle Office Compliance, Market Risk Management, or Regulatory Compliance operations.

Product Depth: In-depth exposure to Forex, fixed-income securities, Derivatives (OTC and exchange-traded), and liquidity portfolios.
