Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
Seed multiplication:
- Development of seed program to align with finished goods plan.
- Planning and development of long-term seed capabilities (5 year horizon)
- Development of contract models that best reflect both grower and company needs, which caters for different environments (plains and hills).
- Seed contracting through the process of persuasions and price negotiation with growers.
- Build Collaborative relationships with suppliers, vendors & input companies.
- To define accountabilities, responsibilities, and objectives of human resource, while rolling out seed programs.
- Import new varieties and achieve alignment with variety leadership groups and communicate globally.
- Exploration of the new varieties for both seed and processing attributes.
- Liasoning with different government institutes like NBPGR (National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources) New Delhi, CPRI (Central Potato Research Institute) - Shimla, PAU (Punjab Agriculture University) Ludhiana, State Agriculture department of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
- Legal compliance of seed program. Acquisition and implementation of different licenses from concerned departments.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge and understanding of chemicals, field operations, and storage infrastructure and equipment setup.
- To impart technical trainings to company's staff and growers through different modes like meets and phone calls.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of potato or vegetable processing.
- Identification, selection and price negotiation with cold storages for seed in Punjab/Haryana & UP. Third party investments for technical up- gradation of storages through modifications like conveyer belts, additional air circulation and data loggers etc.
- Demonstrate excellent oral (presentation) and writing skills - administer annual and monthly reports.
- Oversee Farm Food Safety audits and surveys to track compliance and improvements in farm practices. Ensure successful audit compliance.
- Lead day to day organizational diagnosis by understanding the business needs (current and future), examining whats working and what is not and recommending a path to change.

- This is leading to double the operations without compromising on seed quality, including Own grown farms, number of acres, farmers and team members.
- Identifying and establishing new geographies for quality seed production PAN India.
