About the Company
Our client is a leading bottler for one of the worlds top beverage companies and a key player in the packaged drinking water segment.
As they expand operations and target higher volumes, they seek an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth across Uttarakhand and Western UP.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Strategy
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share for bottled/treating water products in Uttarakhand and Western UP markets.
- Identify opportunities for volume growth, penetration, and competitive advantage.
- Conduct regular market research to understand customer preferences, category trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers including retailers, wholesalers, distributors, hospitality groups, institutional buyers, and HORECA partners.
- Engage with high-value B2B clients such as Railways, corporate buyers, and large hospitality chains.
Distribution & Operations
- Oversee end-to-end sales operations including distributor management, route planning, depot operations, and cost control.
- Ensure effective stock management, proper supply chain coordination, and achievement of fill-rate targets.
- Monitor distributor ROI, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team across assigned regions.
- Set targets, drive performance, and ensure execution of sales plans and promotional activities.
- Conduct regular training, market work, and capability-building sessions.
Business Development
- Generate new leads across retail and B2B channels.
- Drive activations, visibility plans, and on-ground promotions to boost brand presence.
- Identify untapped geographies and emerging customer segments.
Candidate Profile
- MBA is mandatory (Sales/Marketing preferred).
- 5 - 10 years of proven sales leadership experience within FMCG, Food & Beverages; packaged drinking water experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong expertise in distribution management, channel sales, and territory expansion.
- Experience working in Uttarakhand and Western UP markets is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in lead generation, retail & B2B sales, including HORECA, institutional, and railway segments.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to track market trends and drive data-backed decisions
