Role Overview
The Sales & Marketing Manager will lead early-stage commercial activities in India, including distributor acquisition, market development, retail execution, and brand-building initiatives. This role requires a hands-on leader who is entrepreneurial, self-driven, and capable of building business operations from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Distribution
- Develop and execute the India market entry strategy for our consumer health portfolio.
- Identify, onboard, and manage regional/national distributors and channel partners.
- Build retail presence across pharmacies, modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce.
- Achieve sales targets, expand coverage, and ensure product availability across regions.
- Monitor distributor performance, inventory, and secondary sales.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns tailored to health supplements and wellness products.
- Create trade marketing programs, product education, and in-store activations.
- Work with digital marketing partners to drive awareness and consumer engagement on online platforms.
- Track competitor activity, category trends, and market insights.
Operations & Execution
- Lead launch activities, sampling programs, and health awareness promotions.
- Work closely with supply chain partners to ensure timely product movement and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines related to consumer health products.
- Prepare performance reports, sales dashboards, and business reviews.
Candidate Profile
- 5-8 years of experience in FMCG, nutraceuticals, OTC health products, or wellness categories.
- Strong background in sales, distribution management, and retail execution.
- Exposure to marketing activities, including digital campaigns and trade marketing.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in an early-stage environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
