Job Title: Manager Sales & Marketing
Location: Guwahati / North East Region (NER)
Qualification: Graduation / MBA (Marketing preferred)
Experience: 5 to 7 years in Building Materials Industry (AAC Blocks, TMT, Cement, Pipes, Paints, etc.)
Job Purpose: To lead the sales & marketing operations for AAC blocks and related building materials in the North-East Region, drive revenue growth, develop distribution channels, strengthen market presence, and achieve monthly/annual sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly & annual targets.
- Identify and onboard new dealers, distributors, institutional buyers & project customers.
- Generate leads from contractors, builders, architects, government projects, and infra consultants.
- Conduct regular market visits for customer engagement and competitor tracking.
- Ensure product availability, pricing consistency, and market penetration in assigned territories.
Channel Management:
- Manage and support dealer/distributor network across NER.
- Conduct channel partner meetings, sales schemes, and promotions.
- Monitor stock levels, secondary sales, and distributor performance.
Marketing & Brand Promotion:
- Implement marketing campaigns, product demos, technical presentations, and site visits.
- Build brand visibility through events, trade fairs, influencer meets (architects, engineers).
- Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional materials, digital campaigns, and ATL/BTL activities.
Key Account & Project Sales:
- Develop strong relationships with large contractors, real estate developers, and infrastructure companies.
- Manage end-to-end project sales cycle enquiry, quotation, negotiation, order finalization, and payment follow-ups.
- Track government tenders and institutional requirements for AAC blocks / building materials.
Market Intelligence:
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, new product launches, and market demand.
- Maintain and report monthly MIS, sales forecasts, market share & performance analysis.
Team Coordination & Reporting:
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance teams for timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to management.
Skills & Competencies Required:
- Strong knowledge of building material sales (AAC blocks preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation & relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to build dealer networks and drive project sales.
- Target-oriented, self-driven, and willing to travel extensively across NER.
- Good analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office & CRM tools.
