Position : Manager Sales & Business Development
Location: Chennai
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sales professional to drive growth and expand our client base in the Northern states of India. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The candidate will also lead a team of business development and sales professionals, implement sales processes, and foster a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to identify new business opportunities and expand market presence in the MEP contracting industry in Northern India.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their requirements and providing customized solutions. Act as a trusted advisor.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals. Establish sales processes, KPIs, and metrics to monitor performance.
- Collaborate with the technical team to develop tailored proposals and presentations that highlight the companys capabilities and value proposition.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Use insights to guide business development strategies.
- Represent at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to strengthen relationships and enhance visibility.
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity, and generate accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management.
- Work closely with operations, finance, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
- Masters in Marketing Management (desirable)
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years in MEP/HVAC contracting companies in Project Sales and Business Development.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets, expanding client relationships, and driving sales growth.
Skills:
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve targets.
