Manager - Sales - Agri

About the Role:

Sales Manager for West African market responsible for managing Agro input & machinery sales operations, distributor network development, tender management, collections, inventory control, pricing coordination, and driving field activities like demonstrations and farmer engagement to support business growth. FRENCH LANGUAGE MANDATORY

Key responsibilities:

Sales Operations:

- Manage sales operations for agrochemicals, fertilizers, seeds, agricultural machinery, and equipment across assigned West African markets.

- Handle order management, sales tracking, collections, inquiry management, and inventory aging control.

- Manage government tender sales activities including documentation, coordination, and execution.

- Manage and guide sales executives to ensure effective execution of sales and field activities.

Network Development:

- Develop and expand distribution networks by appointing and managing distributors and retailers across regions, prefectures, and sub-prefectures.

Marketing & Product Awareness:

- Identify farmer needs based on crop patterns, soil conditions, and local topography to strengthen product positioning and market development.

- Plan and execute product demonstrations, farmer awareness programs, and field activities to increase product adoption.

- Coordinate with marketing teams for promotional activities, branding initiatives, and product launches.

- Collect market feedback, analyse customer insights, and support product portfolio optimization for business growth and profitability.

Collection & Inventory control:

- Ensure collections are managed as per company policies and agreed commercial terms.

- Monitor inventory aging and coordinate stock management to minimize carryover inventory.

Pricing:

- Prepare pricing proposals in coordination with management and follow company pricing policies.
