Manager - Revenue Recognition

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the technical accounting review of customer contracts, focusing on revenue recognition under ASC 606.

- Provide guidance on complex revenue arrangements such as multiple-element arrangements, software and SaaS revenue, and variable consideration.

- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Operations to review and structure deals to ensure compliance with accounting policies.

- Document accounting positions and judgments through technical memos and white papers.

- Drive implementation and refinement of revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

- Assist in month-end and quarter-end close activities, including revenue entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.

- Partner with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.

- Support SOX compliance and documentation of key controls over revenue recognition.

- Stay updated on emerging guidance and changes in US GAAP, especially those related to revenue.

- Provide training and support to business and finance teams on revenue recognition topics.

Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate AR and revenue recognition processes.

- Implement best practices and internal controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA required.

- 6-10 years of experience in accounting, including strong technical expertise in US GAAP and ASC 606.

- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) or technical accounting experience in a public company preferred.

- Experience with SaaS, software, or technology industry revenue models is highly desirable.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

- Advanced Excel skills, ERP and automation tools experience is a plus (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, blackline)

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
