Role Summary

The Manager RBI Compliance will support the Senior General Manager in managing the companys compliance framework for RBI and FEMA matters related to overseas investments, foreign subsidiaries, and cross-border funding arrangements. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound regulatory understanding, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Support end-to-end compliance for overseas direct investment in foreign subsidiaries, joint ventures, and wholly owned subsidiaries.

- Assist in reviewing transaction structures for RBI/FEMA compliance before execution.

- Prepare, review, and track required filings, declarations, and ongoing reports relating to overseas investments.

- Coordinate with business teams, finance, legal, secretarial, and treasury functions for compliance inputs and approvals.

- Monitor downstream investment requirements and assist in ensuring necessary internal and regulatory approvals are in place.

- Support compliance for funding to overseas entities, including equity infusion, inter-company loans, guarantees, and other permitted instruments.

- Liaise with authorized dealer banks, external counsel, auditors, consultants, and regulators as required.

- Maintain trackers for RBI circulars, FEMA amendments, reporting deadlines, and pending compliance actions.

- Assist in drafting SOPs, checklists, internal notes, and compliance documentation.

- Review board notes, resolutions, and internal approvals from a compliance perspective.

- Flag risks, delays, and potential non-compliances to the Senior General Manager in a timely manner.

- Accurate and timely submission of regulatory filings and reports.

Experience Required

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in RBI/FEMA compliance, corporate legal, secretarial, treasury, or regulatory support roles.

- Exposure to overseas investment compliance and cross-border transaction documentation preferred.

- Experience working with multinational groups, listed companies, or large Indian corporates will be an advantage.

- Experience in AD bank coordination and regulatory correspondence is desirable.

Qualification

- LLB / CA / CS / CMA preferred.

- Postgraduate qualification in law, finance, or management will be an added advantage.

- Additional training in FEMA, RBI compliance, or international investment regulations is desirable.
