Role Overview:

As a Manager in Quality Audit (2nd Line of Defense), you will serve as a critical guardian of audit excellence within a Big 4 environment. Your day-to-day involves performing rigorous quality reviews of statutory audit engagements to ensure compliance with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with engagement teams, senior leadership, and global quality stakeholders to identify systemic risks, provide constructive feedback, and drive continuous improvement in audit methodology. By maintaining the highest standards of integrity and technical precision, you directly influence the firm's reputation, mitigate professional liability, and ensure the delivery of high-quality audit services to our diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute comprehensive quality reviews of statutory audit files to assess adherence to firm-specific methodologies and international auditing standards.

- Provide actionable insights and technical guidance to engagement teams to remediate identified gaps, ensuring all audit documentation meets regulatory expectations.

- Monitor and analyze quality trends across audit engagements to identify recurring issues, enabling the development of targeted training and process enhancements.

- Facilitate communication between engagement teams and the quality function to resolve complex technical queries and ensure consistent application of audit policies.

- Support the leadership team in preparing for external regulatory inspections by ensuring all documentation is audit-ready and compliant with statutory requirements.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate deep technical proficiency in statutory audit processes, including a thorough understanding of financial reporting frameworks and audit quality standards.

- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to evaluate complex audit evidence and identify potential risks or non-compliance issues within documentation.

- Communicate complex technical findings clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.

- Possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification with a proven track record of managing quality-focused audit assignments.

- Adapt seamlessly to a flexible work environment, maintaining high productivity and collaboration while working across distributed teams.

- Leverage 5 - 8 years of relevant experience to navigate high-pressure audit cycles while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and professional skepticism.
