The company operates in the professional consulting and business services industry, supporting organizations through technology, transformation, staffing, and specialized advisory solutions.
Role Objective:
- Own the accuracy and US GAAP compliance of all client accounting and bookkeeping deliverables.
- Act as the final reviewer before client delivery.
- Mentor accountants, standardize processes, and continuously improve the team's US GAAP proficiency.
- Protect client trust through rigorous quality control and capability-building.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Framework & Controls:
- Define and maintain QA checklists, SOPs, and control points.
- Cover quality controls across general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
2. Final Review & Sign-Off:
- Perform final sign-off reviews of all client deliverables.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and US GAAP compliance before delivery.
3. Error Prevention & Quality Metrics:
- Identify root causes of recurring errors.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Track quality metrics including error rates, rework, and on-time delivery.
- Report quality metrics to leadership and clients.
4. Training & Mentoring:
- Build and deliver structured US GAAP training.
- Coach accountants.
- Maintain a knowledge base to standardize accounting treatment and processes across the team.
5. Technical & Escalation Support:
- Act as the escalation point for complex accounting questions and quality matters.
- Keep internal standards updated with evolving US GAAP.
Core Skills & Expertise:
- Deep, hands-on US GAAP expertise across full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping for US clients.
- Ability to make and defend correct accounting treatment decisions.
- Strong audit-grade review and quality-control discipline.
- Ability to build QA frameworks and checklists.
- Strong attention to accuracy and completeness of deliverables.
- Ability to systematically reduce errors and rework.
- Experience communicating with US clients and managing quality escalations.
- US client-facing experience ideally gained in an outsourcing, shared-services, or offshore delivery environment.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA (US) or CA (India) - required.
Mandatory Requirement:
- Primary Job Profile: Finance & Accounts/Finance Control.
- Technical Skills: Financial reporting, US GAAP, Quality Assurance.
