Manager - Quality

Job Description:

We are looking out for a Quality Manager for an NBFC client of ours.

Overview:

Mid-level role responsible for turning quality strategy into day-to-day action. You will drive process improvements, ensure standards are followed, and improve first-time-right (FTR) rates across your assigned business areas. You are the main link between the Quality function and business teams.

A. Process Improvement:

- Spot process gaps and recommend fixes; log them in the Process Gap Register.

- Own SOPs for your verticals; help create them and ensure they are followed.

- Reduce rework and turnaround time (TAT); track weekly and escalate ongoing issues.

B. Quality Monitoring:

- Track quality metrics and publish weekly dashboards for business heads.

- Run regular audits (sampling-based) and keep a documented audit trail.

- Maintain department quality scores.

- Support continuous improvement, including running Kaizen events.

C. Quality Projects:

- Help execute improvement projects using the DMAIC framework.

- Coordinate with other departments for rollout.

- Report project progress to the Head of Quality.

D. Change Management:

- Support rollout of new processes and improvements.

- Help teams adapt smoothly to changes.

- Troubleshoot issues during transitions.

E. Training & Awareness:

- Run basic quality/process training sessions.

- Support quality champions across departments.

- Build awareness of SOPs and FTR using dashboards, notice boards, and digital alerts.

Certification:

- Lean six sigma black belt is mandatory.
