
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced PCC Manager to drive business development and customer management for Pure Car Carrier (PCC) and RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automotive logistics, ocean freight, and shipping, with a proven track record of managing OEM and 3PL relationships while driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business development for PCC and RoRo shipping services across automotive OEMs, distributors, dealerships, and 3PL partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships.
- Prepare commercial proposals, pricing, contracts, and service presentations.
- Achieve revenue, shipment volume, and profitability targets.
- Manage key customer accounts, ensuring high service levels and long-term business retention.
- Coordinate shipment planning, forecasting, and vehicle allocation with customers.
- Analyze automotive trade lanes, market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Support contract negotiations and develop strategic partnerships with automobile manufacturers and logistics providers.
- Collaborate with operations, vessel planning, port terminals, documentation, and finance teams to ensure seamless shipment execution.
- Monitor billing, credit control, contract compliance, and operational performance.
- Represent the organization at industry events, customer meetings, and automotive logistics forums.
Required Skills:
- 10-20 years of experience in shipping, maritime logistics, automotive logistics, freight forwarding, or RoRo/PCC operations.
- Strong experience in business development, sales, and key account management within the automotive logistics or shipping industry.
- Good understanding of Pure Car Carrier (PCC), RoRo shipping operations, vehicle export/import processes, and global automotive supply chains.
- Experience working with automobile OEMs, distributors, shipping lines, or third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Knowledge of international shipping documentation, freight pricing, contracts, and vessel operations.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities.
- Customer-focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or PG Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Marketing is preferred.
