Fast-Track Leadership Program - Purchasing & Supply Chain


Role: Manager - Purchasing

Experience Required: Total 4-6 Years with atleast 3 years of relevant experience


Location: PAN India Rotational with 6 months at a Global office| Final Location Post-Program
Program Duration: 24 Months


Mandatory Education Requirement (Strict - Do Not Apply if Not Eligible)


Full-time MBA/PGDM from Premier Institutes ONLY (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, MDI, SCMHRD, SIBM, NMIMS, JBIMS, FMS, NITIE, IIFT, TISS, etc.)


Candidates without a degree from the above-tier institutions or outside the mentioned experience range will NOT be considered.

About the Program:


A global, multi-business engineering and technology organization is hiring high-caliber talent for its Purchasing Leadership Development Program. This structured 24-month journey includes cross-functional rotations, strategic sourcing exposure, leadership assignments, supplier development initiatives, and international experience based on business needs.

Program Features:


- Cross-functional & cross-business rotations

- On-the-job purchasing & supply chain capability building

- Leadership projects with senior stakeholder visibility

- Exposure to strategic sourcing, cost engineering & supplier development

- Transition into a managerial role post-program with a defined leadership path

Eligibility Criteria:


- B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Electronics preferred)

- MBA in Operations, Supply Chain, or Finance preferred (Only from Premier Institutes)

- 4-6 years of total experience with atleast 3 years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Supplier Management

- Experience working with Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers in automotive or similar industries

Technical & Functional Expertise Required:


- Purchasing & Supply Chain Management

- Commodity & Supplier Market Knowledge

- Contracting, Negotiation & Cost Benchmarking

- Supplier Development & Project Management

- Product Costing, Financial Assessment & Value Analysis

Leadership & Behavioral Competencies:

- Analytical thinking & data-driven decision-making

- Business acumen & strategic thinking

- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes

- Clear communication & cross-functional collaboration

- Change management & agility

Possible Post-Program Roles:


- Commodity Purchasing Lead - Drive sourcing strategies, supplier selection, negotiations, cost optimization, and supplier development.


- Project Purchasing Lead - Lead purchasing for new product projects, cost reduction initiatives, and cross-functional coordination.


- Supplier Quality / Purchasing Quality Lead - Manage supplier quality performance, ensure defect-free deliveries, and drive continuous improvement.
