Role Overview:

Lead our procurement operations in Pune. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle, ensuring the seamless acquisition of high-quality materials and services that fuel our production and operational efficiency. You will act as a strategic bridge between internal cross-functional teams - including production, finance, and logistics - and our external vendor network. By optimizing supply chain costs and maintaining robust vendor relationships, you will directly influence the company bottom line and ensure the uninterrupted flow of critical resources, ultimately driving our competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities:

- Formulate and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to secure cost-effective sourcing solutions that align with the organization financial targets.

- Manage complex negotiations with global and domestic suppliers to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements that protect company margins.

- Oversee the entire purchase order lifecycle, from initial requisition to final delivery, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and project timelines.

- Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to proactively mitigate potential disruptions, ensuring business continuity for all stakeholders.

- Mentor and lead the procurement team to foster a culture of operational excellence, transparency, and high-performance standards.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation, with a proven track record of managing large-scale procurement budgets.

- Exceptional analytical capabilities to interpret market data and financial reports, enabling data-driven decision-making that optimizes procurement spend.

- Strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, build long-term partnerships with vendors, and resolve conflicts effectively.

- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced supply chain management tools to streamline procurement workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.

Educational Qualification:

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering preferred.

- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management preferred.

Experience & Industry Exposure:

- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement.

- Extensive experience in the automotive, auto-component, or manufacturing industry.

- Strong hands-on experience in supplier development, strategic sourcing, vendor management, commercial negotiations, and end-to-end procurement operations.

- Proven track record in cost optimization, supplier performance improvement, and timely material procurement.
