Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations & Outreach:
- Relationship Building: Develop, nurture, and maintain robust relationships with key journalists, editors, broadcast producers, media publications (global and regional), and influential industry figures across business, sustainability, and sector-focused domains.
- Proactive Pitching: Drive proactive and strategic media outreach to consistently secure positive, high-quality, and meaningful coverage in top-tier business, financial, and industry-specific publications.
- Content Development: Draft, edit, and coordinate the timely distribution of impactful press releases, media statements, comprehensive media kits, and fact sheets.
- Media Management: Efficiently coordinate and manage media engagements, including one-on-one interviews, press conferences, media briefings, and provide rapid, accurate, and authorized media responses, especially during critical announcements or crises.
Content & Communication Strategy:
- High-Quality Content Creation: Conceptualize, create, and meticulously refine a diverse range of high-quality communication assets, including detailed press notes, executive leadership quotes, strategic op-eds, in-depth thought-leadership articles, detailed FAQs, and precise internal/external talking points.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal social media and digital teams to ensure PR-aligned content amplifies key messages across all platforms.
- Resource Management: Maintain and update a centralized, comprehensive repository of all communication materials, key media FAQs, company backgrounders, and corporate credentials to ensure consistency and readiness.
Brand & Reputation Management:
- Intelligence Gathering: Proactively monitor and analyze news flow, competitor communications, and significant industry developments; provide timely, insightful reports and strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Strategic Support: Actively support corporate reputation enhancement programs, including strategic Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) communication, and targeted brand positioning initiatives.
- Crisis Preparedness: Play a crucial role in crisis communication preparedness, including the development of crisis manuals, simulation exercises, and providing swift, effective support during actual crisis response.
Event & Campaign Support:
- Campaign Execution: Plan, execute, and manage all PR activities surrounding major organizational events, including product launches, significant corporate announcements, policy and regulatory engagements, and participation in key industry conferences.
- Agency Management: Serve as the primary liaison with external Public Relations agencies, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives, providing clear direction, and rigorously monitoring their performance and impact.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Performance Tracking: Systematically track and log all media coverage (print, digital, broadcast).
- Impact Analysis: Prepare and present detailed monthly PR scorecards, complete with sentiment analysis, share-of-voice metrics, and comprehensive impact reports for senior management.
- Outcome Focus: Ensure all PR campaigns and initiatives are designed for measurable outcomes, continuously refining strategies based on performance data.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: A Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in Public Relations, with a significant portion dedicated to corporate communications or agency leadership roles.
- Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Preferred:
Advanced Degree: MBA (Master of Business Administration) or a Master's degree in Communications/Journalism is highly desirable.
Industry Knowledge: Experience working within our specific industry sector (mention your industry if applicable, Technology, Finance, Renewable Energy).
Global Exposure: Experience in managing PR across multiple geographies or working with international media
