Manager - Public Policy & Government Affairs

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Policy and Government Affairs professional with 5-7 years of experience to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive administrative and analytical support to the Public Policy team. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills. He/she will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including research, data analysis, report preparation, and event coordination.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the company's operations.

2. Proactively advise internal stakeholders on potential policy implications and recommend appropriate responses.

3. Develop and execute a comprehensive public policy agenda to support the company's objectives and growth plans.

4. Draft clear and concise position papers, policy briefs, and other advocacy materials.

5. Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in government affairs and public policy.

Qualifications:

1. 5-7 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or a related field.

2. Proven track record of success in working in a team for developing and implementing public policy strategies.

3. Strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory process.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly and concisely.

5. Superior interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

6. Ability to work as part of a team.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Key Competencies:

Strong research and writing skills

- Experience in government relations

- Basic functional understanding of chambers like FICCI, CII, assocham, and PHDCCI

- Basic Understanding of ministries like FSSAI, DoCA, MoFPI

- Exposure to public policy, public affairs, and regulatory matters

Candidate Background:

7-8 years experience in policy advocacy and drafting briefs. Degree in Law from university of repute. Master's in related field is preferred.

Ex-chamber/association officer/Alumni of a reputed School of Public Policy/From advocacy firm or corporate consulting/ NITI Aayog, Invest India/ from similar FMCG organizations or industries.
