We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Project Finance team. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for financial structuring, project evaluation, debt syndication, lender coordination, financial closure, and ongoing monitoring of projects. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to infrastructure / renewable energy / EPC / large-scale industrial projects and hands-on experience in handling banks, financial institutions, and project stakeholders
Financial Structuring & Modeling
- Develop and maintain robust financial models for project evaluation, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning.
- Assess project IRR, DSCR, NPV, and other key metrics for decision-making.
Debt Syndication & Financing
- Lead the process of raising debt from banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions.
- Prepare project information memorandums, financial projections, and presentations for lenders.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of term loans, working capital, and other financing instruments.
Lender & Investor Management
- Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and credit rating agencies for project financing requirements.
- Manage due diligence processes (technical, legal, financial) and respond to queries from lenders.
- Ensure timely drawdown of funds and compliance with financing covenants.
Contract & Risk Review
- Work closely with the legal team on financing agreements, security documents, and shareholder agreements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project cash flows, debt servicing, and covenant compliance.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports for management and lenders.
- Support ongoing refinancing, restructuring, or additional funding requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of project finance, debt syndication, and financial modeling.
- Proven experience in dealing with banks, NBFCs, rating agencies, and investors.
- Understanding of infrastructure/renewable energy/EPC sector financing structures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines.
Qualifications
- MBA (Finance) / Chartered Accountant (CA) / CFA or equivalent professional degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in project finance / corporate finance / investment banking / debt syndication.
- Prior exposure to renewable energy / power/ infrastructure is preferred. Work experience with BIG4 is added advantage.
