Key Responsibilities - Product Marketing & GTM Series Manager (Smartphone & IOT)
Full Lifecycle & GTM Execution:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: from planning and launch readiness to ongoing engagement and phase-out, aligned with commercial goals, retail sell-out, and consumer feedback loops.
- Lead the Product Marketing Brief process, using in-depth consumer insights and market intelligence to guide product positioning, pricing, channel strategy, and portfolio choices.
- Drive and unify cross-functional GTM execution across marketing, sales, digital, retail, and channel teams etc. to maximize launch impact for smartphones in India.
Risk Identification & Mitigation:
- Act as the lifecycle risk champion, proactively flagging risks at every stage.
- Design and deploy contingency strategies to resolve issues and ensure the swift success of sustainable products.
Market Sensing & Consumer Insight:
- Serve as the internal advocate for Indian smartphone consumers-identifying emerging trends, needs, and behaviors.
- Continuously monitor competitive activity, launches, price moves, and campaigns; recalibrate strategies to defend share and sustain growth.
Retail & Channel Enablement:
- Drive premium in-store experiences, highlighting hero features, design innovations, and affordability programs unique to.
- Build promoter enablement: enable impactful value pitches, training materials, and retail scripts to ensure memorable, consistent brand messaging for consumers.
Partner & Stakeholder Management:
- Operationalize external partnerships, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and alignment with brand promise.
- Foster accountability and collaborative execution across internal and external teams to deliver robust launch and lifecycle outcomes.
Performance Monitoring & Closure:
- Track, analyze, and share post-launch review reports; lead structured stage reviews to document actionable insights and continuous improvement.
Category Management & Strategy:
- Shape segment/category strategy and lifecycle management for assigned smartphone series; establish go-to-market plans with business and product teams.
- Benchmark series against competitors, advise on impactful positioning and pricing for the Indian market.
- Oversee given portfolio & drive product launches, promotions, inventory, and sell-out.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns (offline/online, digital, retail, experiential).
- Work closely with sales, retail, e-tail, and channel teams for effective training, messaging, and conversion.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Management/Business; MBA preferred.
- 5-10 years' experience in product/category marketing (smartphones/electronics/ FMCD).
- Demonstrated success launching smartphone products in India; experience managing GTM, P&L, channel strategy, and retail execution.
- Strong market analysis and reporting skills; advanced in Excel and dashboards.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian smartphone consumers and trends.
- Collaborative leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent creative, communication, and analytical abilities.
