Overall Job Purpose:
- This role is a part of front office investments team at M&G Global Services in Mumbai which involves working closely with P Capital Partners' (PCP) Portfolio Management team based in Stockholm. The role focuses on investment controlling responsibilities essential for managing a dynamic and growing private credit portfolio and requires working independently.
- PCP is a leading European private credit solutions provider in the corporate non-sponsor sector. In June 2025, M&G acquired a 70% stake in PCP aligning with its strategy to grow the Private Markets business. With this acquisition, PCP has become part of M&G Investments' - 73 billion private markets business, complementing its established - 19 billion private credit and structured credit teams and broadening its client offering in a segment where PCP already has strong relationships and an extensive origination network.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Performance Monitoring: Source, update and analyse performance data for deals from reports to identify trends, update traffic light assessments and support AI-enabled financial mapping and database uploads.
- Quarterly Portfolio Reviews: Perform analysis of existing investments and prepare monitoring documentation for presentation to internal stakeholders and management during quarterly portfolio reviews.
- Portfolio Analysis: Maintain performance reporting and analyse fund performance across multiple PCP funds (III, IV, V, Transition & Growth), supporting investor and management queries with deep portfolio analytics which include trend analysis and tracking credit losses, geographic exposures, and other relevant portfolio metrics enabling informed decision making.
- Portfolio Data Management: Update and manage the portfolio file, integrating new investments, borrower commitments, and performance indicators providing statistics and analysis for the deal team and supporting data-driven responses to investor inquiries.
- Investor Reporting: Contribute to high-impact investor reports, TPT reporting to banks, cash flow forecasts, and league table submissions ensuring clarity and insights to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
- IFRS Model Updates: Support quarterly valuation modelling using inputs from reviews, default data, and macroeconomic multipliers.
- Database Administration: Upload and update financials, maturity profiles, durations, and legal data across PCP systems. Collaborate on developing, maintaining and automating the liquidity model.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide timely data and presentations in response to ESG, fundraising, and investor requests.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification:
Knowledge & Skills (Key):
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Private Credit/ Private Markets/Private Assets pertaining to financial modelling, investment analysis or controlling.
- Experience in reporting and KPI analysis would be preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset and genuine interest in working with data to support portfolio insights and decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate across international teams as well as work independently.
- Quick learner with an ability to work in an unstructured environment
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
- Strong MS Excel skills. Knowledge of VBA, PowerBi, Python will be a plus.
Education Qualifications:
- MBA from a reputed institute
- CFA/ Pursuing CFA
