Role Overview:
Manager Plant Production to lead production operations, optimize plant performance, and ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing of energy products. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing productivity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve business and production objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive plant operations experience, and a proven track record in production planning, process optimization, quality management, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end plant production operations to achieve production, quality, cost, safety, and delivery targets.
- Develop and implement production plans, capacity utilization strategies, and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency.
- Monitor plant performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, OEE, downtime, yield, and operational costs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and operational excellence methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Optimize equipment utilization, process efficiency, energy consumption, and manufacturing costs.
- Manage production budgets, manpower planning, shift operations, and workforce productivity.
- Mentor and develop production supervisors and plant personnel to build high-performing teams.
- Prepare production reports, operational dashboards, and performance reviews for senior management.
Qualifications:
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial, Energy, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- MBA (Operations) or M.Tech is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 815 Years.
- Experience in energy, power, renewable energy, utilities, EPC, heavy engineering, or process manufacturing industries.
- Proven experience leading large production teams in continuous manufacturing environments.
