Manager - Plant Operations


Description:


- Manages all operations as well as service / support department at factory level

- Implements a long-term production strategy to ensure efficient production and high-quality products

- Delivers against plant performance KPIs, budget and projects

- Sets up and executes development plans for plant personnel

- Is responsible to driving cost saving initiatives at the plant, in line with guidelines

- Ensures operations processes and solutions are implemented according to global procedures and local regulations

- Ensures that all legal requirements and corporate standards are in place and in compliance

- Has legal responsibility for fulfilling SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) requirements

- Acts as company representative and key contact for local authorities and workers unions / councils in the area of responsibility

- Is responsible for the Investment plan, Capex application and Fix Asset accounting

- Is responsible for application of Corporate Standards in the area of responsibility

- Is responsible for application of all programs in Production System to drive the Operational Efficiency and Lean Practices in a continuous improvement approach

Skill requirement:

- Minimum 8 years of Experience in chemical plant operations (involving Polymerization reactions), in batch manufacturing process, with DCS control.

- Mandatory Exposure to Hazardous chemical handling, storage and management in plant operations.

- Mandatory- BTech Chemical Engineering, (Mandatory) additional qualifications on Lean Six Sigma, Business Administration will be desirable.

- It is preferable if the candidate has led a plant for the past 2 years or Production function independently handled for a minimum of 3 years.

- It is desirable that the candidate must have led teams involving 40-60 people (FTE) in production.

- Good exposure and understanding of Safety Health and Environment (SHE) principles is expected. Mandatory.

- Experience in handling Unionized work force is desirable (not mandatory)
