Job Title : Manager - Payroll Location : Hyderabad Department : Human Resources / Payroll & Compliance Experience : 7-10 Years Reporting To : Head - HR / Head - Finance & Accounts Industry : Environmental Services / Infrastructure / Manufacturing / Facility Management Role Objective: To manage end-to-end payroll processing, compliance, and employee benefits administration for the organization across locations. The role demands strong expertise in statutory compliance, payroll software, audit handling, and employee query resolution. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and process monthly payroll for all employees, including regular, contractual, and temporary staff - Ensure timely salary disbursement, reimbursements, and compliance with internal timelines - Coordinate with Finance and HR teams to validate inputs such as attendance, leaves, variable pay, incentives, and deductions - Maintain employee payroll records and ensure 100% accuracy - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax (TDS), Gratuity, etc. - Prepare and file returns related to PF, ESI, TDS, and labour welfare contributions - Handle audits related to payroll, taxation, and labour laws (internal and statutory) - Address and resolve employee payroll-related queries and grievances - Keep up to date with changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards - Support in CTC structuring, salary revisions, and benefits planning in coordination with HRBP - Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and monthly reconciliations - Coordinate with external payroll vendors if applicable Skills & Competencies Required: - In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax calculations, and statutory compliance - Hands-on experience with payroll software (SAP, ADP, Darwinbox, etc.) - Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and payroll audit practices - Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process discipline - Good communication and coordination skills Qualification: - Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or HR - MBA in HR or Finance preferred - 7-10 years of relevant experience in payroll management in mid-to-large organizations
