Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
International Payroll Management:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple international geographies (Americas, EMEA, APAC).
- Coordinate with global payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution.
- Validate payroll inputs including salaries, bonuses, commissions, stock benefits, deductions, and reimbursements.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timely disbursement, and resolution of payroll-related queries.
Global Compliance & Statutory Governance:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, social security, and statutory filings across all operating countries.
- Track and implement changes in international employment laws, tax rules, and payroll regulations.
- Manage audits, statutory inspections, and payroll compliance reviews in collaboration with Finance and Legal teams.
- Oversee employee documentation related to payroll, tax, visas, and employment compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, HR Business Partners, and Global Mobility teams.
- Support international employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and expatriate payroll.
- Coordinate with stock administration teams for ESOP/RSU payroll tax implications.
Process Excellence & Automation:
- Drive process standardization and automation across global payroll operations.
- Maintain payroll SOPs, control frameworks, and internal documentation.
- Implement payroll best practices to improve accuracy, scalability, and compliance.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare payroll MIS, statutory reports, cost analysis, and variance reports.
- Support month-end and year-end payroll accounting and reconciliations.
- Provide payroll insights to leadership for budgeting and workforce planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience managing international payroll and compliance in a global organization.
- Strong working knowledge of global payroll laws, tax frameworks, and statutory requirements.
- Experience working with global payroll vendors and multi-country payroll models.
- Hands-on exposure to payroll systems (Workday, ADP, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment
