Manager - Operations & Productions - Jewellery Industry

Key Responsibilities

Packing List Management

- Prepare and maintain accurate packing lists for finished goods dispatch.

- Ensure alignment between physical output, batch details, and inventory records.

- Coordinate with production, stores, and dispatch teams for timely and accurate documentation.

Operations Oversight and Coordination

- Maintain visibility over ongoing production activities and stage-wise progress.

- Track work-in-progress across different processing stages.

- Coordinate between internal teams and external job work units, if applicable.

Work Order Monitoring and Liaisoning

- Monitor issuance, progress, and closure of Work Orders (WOs).

- Liaise with internal production teams and other factories to ensure smooth workflow.

- Track timelines and highlight delays or bottlenecks.

Inventory Position Management

- Maintain daily records of inventory movement and stock position.

- Track stage-wise and location-wise inventory across the facility.

- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of materials.

Data Accuracy and Reconciliation Support

- Ensure operational data reflects actual physical movement and processing.

- Support periodic stock verification and reconciliation with accounting records.

- Identify and escalate discrepancies in inventory or production data.

Inputs for Cash Flow Planning

- Provide operational inputs to the accounting team for cash flow planning.

- Support estimation of job work payments and expected dispatch timelines.

Operational MIS and Reporting

- Prepare and share daily/weekly reports on production, inventory, and movement.

- Provide structured and timely data inputs to accounting and management teams.

Skill Set and Competencies

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.

- Experience in inventory tracking and material movement control.

- Working knowledge of MS Excel for data tracking and reporting.

- High attention to detail and discipline in maintaining records.

- Strong coordination and follow-up skills across teams.

- Ability to work in a factory-linked, fast-paced environment.

- Ownership mindset towards data accuracy and operational efficiency.

Reporting

- Reports to the Finance Head / Operations Head, with regular interaction with production, stores, and accounting teams.
