Roles and Responsibilities : This role will be responsible for running all marketing and PR efforts for the Goquest's content distribution business. What are the main goals for this role? Series Marketing : - Goquest's primary business activity is to distribute/license shows worldwide. - Each series is a unique product that has to be positioned and pitched as an individual standalone product. Each series goes through the following stages of the marketing cycle. These stages can operate parallel in a few scenarios. Positioning - The first step is to figure out the value prop of the series to platforms and/or tv channels. How do we position the show? What is the message? What makes this show unique? How will the sales team pitch the show? What is interesting about the show that will get ott platforms or tv channels interested? Marketing Materials/Assets - What marketing materials are needed to pitch the show? Teasers, Trailers, Posters, Pitch presentations, info doc, etc. Everything that allows the sales teams to present a show effectively to buyers. This also includes everything which will be used in PR, Social media, etc. Advertising/Marketing : - Creating and executing the marketing plan for the show. - PR. Good PR contributes almost 40-50% impact on a show's marketing cycle - Advertising on B2B trade publications - Email marketing Company Brand Marketing : Brand building of the company is an essential aspect of the business. Top-of-the-mind recall as a distributor/content supplier is critical. Like any business category, being the top brand in a niche is the key strategy. Again PR followed by executives' interviews and features in trade publications reinforce these. Talent Marketing : Goquest, as a company, spends a lot of time and effort on talent recruitment. To attract good talent, there must be a constant push of the company, its opportunities, culture, and career prospects to the talent pool in the industry. The end goal here is to become a sought-after company to work for. What will be Day to day responsibilities in this role? PR : - Create and run the overall PR plan for the company. - Draft press releases for various company announcements - Work with PR agencies and trade journalists and generate various PR opportunities for the company - Manage and push press releases of the company across different publications and social media Marketing Materials : - Create marketing materials for each show acquired by the company. This includes posters, trailers, and pitch materials for each show - Help the sales team identify different marketing hooks in a show. Help them craft different pitch materials for a show Advertising and Marketing - Plan and execute advertising calendar across trade publications - Negotiate deals with trade publications for advertising of shows - Plan and execute email campaigns for different regions, customer segments and content Events : - Plan and execution of trade event activities including setup of booths to display our shows and meet with potential buyers. - Work with event owners and negotiate deals for exhibition or attendance options. - Plan and execute the advertising, PR, and all other marketing-related activities around these trade events - Handle planning and execution of all marketing materials required at these trade events. Brochures, client gifts, etc - Run email marketing campaigns and help sales teams get inbound meetings Who Should Apply? - Experience of 5- 8 Years in a Marketing role - Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Preferably Mass Media or an MBA in Marketing - Excellent fluent written and spoken English skills - Experience across different marketing functions of a channel, or an OTT platform or a film studio - Experienced in Email Marketing Campaign - Preferably experience on the creative side of an advertising agency - Preferred Industries: Media and Entertainment, FMCG, Consumer brands, B2C tech startups, advertising agencies
