Job Description: Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Implementation: - Develop, implement, and manage the overall marketing and communication strategy for the NGO, aligned with its organizational goals and objectives. - Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and target audiences for effective communication. - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication initiatives and provide regular reports on performance. - Manage the marketing and communication budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing, communication, and digital media. Brand Management & Awareness: - Develop and maintain the NGO's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication channels and materials. - Implement strategies to increase brand awareness and recognition among key stakeholders and the general public. - Oversee the creation of compelling and impactful marketing materials, including brochures, reports, presentations, videos, and website content. Digital Marketing & Social Media Management: - Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across various online channels, including website, email, social media, search engines, and online advertising. - Manage and optimize the NGO's social media presence (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), creating engaging content, fostering community interaction, and monitoring performance. - Oversee the maintenance and updates of the NGO's website, ensuring it is user-friendly, informative, and reflects the organization's brand. - Utilize SEO and SEM strategies to improve online visibility and drive traffic to the website. - Manage email marketing campaigns, including content creation, list management, and performance tracking. Content Creation & Storytelling: - Develop compelling narratives and key messages that effectively communicate the NGO's impact and the stories of the beneficiaries. - Oversee the creation of high-quality content for various platforms, including website articles, blog posts, social media updates, press releases, newsletters, and annual reports. - Collaborate with program teams to gather information, stories, and data to create impactful communication materials. - Ensure all communication materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned with the NGO's messaging. Media Relations & Public Relations: - Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure positive media coverage for the NGO's work. - Draft and distribute press releases and media advisories to announce key initiatives and achievements. - Coordinate media interviews and manage media inquiries. - Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance the NGO's reputation and build trust with the public. Internal Communications & Collaboration: - Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep staff informed about organizational updates, achievements, and events. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Programs, Fundraising, Operations) to ensure alignment of marketing and communication efforts with organizational goals. - Provide communication support to other departments as needed. Event Management: - Plan and execute marketing and communication activities related to the NGO's events, such as fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and workshops. - Develop promotional materials and manage communication for events. Requirements: - Bachelor's / Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in marketing, communications, or a related role, preferably within the non-profit sector. - Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing. - Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive messaging for diverse audiences. - - Proven experience in managing social media platforms and driving engagement. - Proficiency in using marketing and communication tools and technologies (e.g., social media management platforms, email marketing software, website content management systems). - Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
