Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Manager - Logistics Operations to lead and optimize logistics operations across the West & East regions of India. The role will be responsible for end-to-end logistics execution, cost optimization, service level improvement, and stakeholder management in a large-scale, complex industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and manage end-to-end logistics operations for the West & East regions, ensuring seamless inbound and outbound movement of goods.

- Drive logistics strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on cost optimization, service excellence, and operational efficiency.

- Manage regional warehousing, transportation, and distribution networks across multiple plants, depots, and customer locations.

- Lead contract negotiations and performance management of 3PLs, transporters, and logistics service providers.

- Monitor and improve key KPIs such as OTIF, TAT, freight cost, inventory turns, and damage/loss metrics.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and digital logistics solutions.

- Collaborate closely with Sales, Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure demand fulfillment.

- Drive compliance with safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements across regions.

- Lead and develop regional logistics teams, ensuring capability building and strong succession planning.

- Support network design, route optimization, and capacity planning initiatives for regional expansion.

Key Requirements:

- Full-time MBA from a Tier 1 institute.

- Minimum 7 years of post-MBA experience in logistics operations within large industrial manufacturing, heavy engineering, automotive, chemicals, or similar sectors.

- Strong exposure to multi-location, multi-region logistics operations (West & East India mandatory).

- Proven experience in managing large logistics spends and complex vendor ecosystems.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

- Hands-on experience with SAP / ERP systems and logistics digitization tools.

- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
