The Manager - Logistics will oversee and manage end-to-end logistics operations for e-commerce fulfillment, ensuring timely deliveries, route optimization, operational efficiency, and superior customer satisfaction. The role includes supervising logistics teams, managing vendor partnerships, controlling costs, and ensuring strict adherence to service quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Operations Management:
- Oversee daily logistics operations to ensure timely order pickup and delivery to customers.
- Ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and delivery timelines.
- Plan and manage delivery routes, schedules, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
Team & Vendor Coordination:
- Lead and supervise Logistics Supervisors, Executives, and Delivery Associates to achieve operational targets.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, fleet partners, and courier agencies to maintain service quality.
- Conduct daily briefings to communicate schedules, productivity expectations, and performance targets.
Process Compliance & Quality:
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and company policies for order handling and delivery.
- Track and review KPIs such as route adherence, on-time delivery %, and fulfillment %.
- Implement monitoring systems to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
Cost & Resource Management:
- Monitor logistics costs including kilometers travelled, fleet utilization, vendor payouts, and manpower allocation.
- Identify and implement cost-optimization initiatives and route-efficiency improvements without compromising service quality.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
- Manage escalations related to delayed deliveries, operational disruptions, or exception handling.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare daily and weekly MIS reports covering bookings, fulfillment performance, cost metrics, and KPIs.
- Share insights and data-driven recommendations with senior leadership for operational improvements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, last-mile delivery, and e-commerce fulfillment.
- Knowledge of route optimization, fleet management, and delivery tracking systems.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and vendor-handling skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities; proficiency in MS Excel, logistics ERP tools, or management software.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Profile:
- 8-12 years of experience in logistics or operations within e-commerce, retail, or last-mile delivery.
