Role Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Operations Specialist to oversee and optimize supply chain activities across India. This role supports the Supply Chain Manager in day-to-day operations, ensures smooth coordination between internal and external stakeholders, and contributes to the development and implementation of strategic supply chain initiatives. The goal is to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordination & Operations:

- Collaborate with Customer Service, Purchase, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams for seamless daily operations.


- Ensure accurate order processing, timely product movement, and efficient execution of supply plans.


- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks impacting delivery performance or customer satisfaction.

2. Inventory Management:

- Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations to maintain optimal stock availability.


- Manage stock replenishment, cycle counts, reconciliation, and timely reporting.


- Maintain accurate documentation for all inventory transactions and warehouse activities.

3. Logistics Management:

- Track shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely dispatch, receipt, loading, and unloading.


- Work with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and transporters for cost-effective routing and on-time deliveries.


- Troubleshoot delays, damages, or discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Analyze supply chain performance data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.


- Prepare and share reports on KPIs such as OTIF, inventory accuracy, order cycle time, and logistics costs.


- Support forecasting and contribute to demand planning discussions.

5. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:

- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.


- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, customs documentation, and statutory filings.


- Review SOPs and operational processes for ongoing compliance.

6. Project Management & Continuous Improvement:

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvement projects.


- Lead or support implementation of process enhancements, automation initiatives, and optimization projects.

7. 3PL & Vendor Management:

- Manage performance of 3PL partners, transporters, and other supply chain vendors.


- Review KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics for optimal service delivery.


- Address vendor performance issues and assist in contract reviews.


8. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production, and Customer Service teams to align operations with business goals.


- Participate in cross-departmental meetings and support new project rollouts.

9. Customer Service & Shipment Support:

- Assist Customer Service and Purchase teams in coordinating with freight forwarders, logistics companies, and suppliers.


- Ensure timely processing of documentation such as BLs, invoices, MSDS, COAs, and regulatory papers.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelors degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.

- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management.

- Experience in chemical trading or industrial goods environment preferred.

- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, warehouse operations, and logistics practices.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
