- Looking for a senior professional supply chain professional from the food industry to lead key initiatives in its livelihoods team, which drives interventions such as better market linkages, prices, access to credit through collectivisation and value addition to products.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

- Lead the development and execution of innovative livelihood strategies that enhances income security for marginalized communities, initially from the farming and food space. Later on, will include other areas.

- Identifying a wide range of scalable livelihood models with a deep understanding of market driven approaches and partnerships. Develop new business models and large-scale supply chains working with large number of rural producers.

- Identify emerging trends and best practices in sustainable livelihoods focusing on income diversification and income enhancement of marginalized communities. Collaborate with local community, government, non-governmental agencies, multilateral organizations and civil society organizations to strengthen the value chain.

- Gather and analyze data to guide program decisions, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

HIRING PROFILE:

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Rural Development, Economics, Social Policy or related fields. 15 - 25 years of experience, including at least 10 in supply chain the food industry.

- This role will suit someone who is keen to transfer expertise to the development sector and create impact in helping marginalized farmers get further in their lives through better livelihood.

- Experience in building and nurturing relationships. Excellent analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. High level of initiative, self-direction, and problem-solving ability.

- Ability to work across diverse geographies and cultural contexts. Willingness to travel extensively across rural India in the quest for identifying and engaging with the farming community.
