Manager - Learning Content
Role Summary/Purpose:
Responsible for managing the instructional design and implementation of digital learning content across GMR Group. This role ensures the creation, curation, and deployment of high-quality, engaging, and impactful learning experiences in alignment with organizational goals and the content strategy defined by the Lead Learning Content.
Key Accountabilities and Performance Indicators:
Content & Learning:
- Translate digital content into effective learning applications, ensuring content is relevant and contextual.
- Build engaging learning experiences through structured journeys, pathways, and multimodal content.
- Drive learner engagement through content on technology platforms.
- Conduct content diagnostics to assess effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
- Maintain familiarity with content structures and ensure logical flow.
- Manage content inventory, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain market understanding of content platforms, pricing, specialization, and vendor relationships.
- Learner engagement scores
- Content effectiveness metrics
- Timely identification and closure of content gaps
- Market benchmarking reports
Content Design and Development:
- Use content development tools and apply advanced instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SCORM, etc.).
- Ensure high standards in design and visualization of learning assets.
- Oversee the development of digital, blended, and instructor-led content.
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), L&D partners, and business stakeholders to gather inputs and validate content.
- Translate subject matter input into structured learning content using ID models.
- Create engaging instructional materials such as storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, job aids, and e-learning modules.
- Implement SEO best practices for all digital content.
Content Curation:
- Curate content using global tools and best practices.
- Evaluate and select third-party content for integration.
- Maintain relationships with content vendors and partners.
Program Strategy & Design:
- Define learning objectives aligned with business priorities.
- Conduct needs analysis and skill gap assessments.
- Develop and refine content strategy in collaboration with leadership.
- Create and maintain a content calendar aligned with business priorities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with business leaders, SMEs, and vendors.
- Communicate program goals and progress.
Program Execution:
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle: design, delivery, evaluation.
- Oversee vendor contracts and budgets (good to have).
- Ensure compliance with learning standards and policies.
Change Management:
- Lead adoption of new content formats, technologies, and methodologies o
- Develop stakeholder communications and training for new initiatives.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement:
- Track learner engagement and completion.
- Analyze program effectiveness engagement and ROI.
- Implement feedback-driven improvements.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in digital learning.
Technology & Innovation:
- Leverage LMS, analytics tools, and emerging tech.
- Implement at least one AI- backed tool per year.

Financial Dimensions:
Manages content-related budgets and vendor contracts in alignment with the Approved Operating Plan (AOP), ensuring optimal allocation and cost efficiency

- Standardize and maintain learning operations
- Coordinate end-to-end content logistics
- Track and report content and learning metrics
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Instructional Design preferred. Additional certification in Learning Technologies or Project Management is a plus.
Relevant Industry/Sector Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in learning content management, instructional design, or digital learning.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), and digital content ecosystems
Technical Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, Blooms Taxonomy)
- Expertise in authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Adobe CC, Vyond, etc.)
- Knowledge of content standards (SCORM, xAPI) and LMS/LXP administration
- Strong design and visualization skills
- Experience with content curation tools and methodologies
- Analytical skills for content diagnostics and learning analytics
- Familiarity with AI-powered content tools and digital asset management
- AI Productivity Tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot). Ability to leverage AI-powered tools like Copilot to automate routine tasks, enhance reporting, streamline communication, and optimize workflows for cost and time efficiency.
Content Management & Partner Platforms:
