Position Title: Global Learning & Development Manager.

Location: India.

Reports To: Global Operations / Executive Leadership.

Collaborates With: Regional HR/Admin Teams, Business Unit Heads, Senior Leadership.


Scope of the Role


The Global Learning & Development (L&D) Manager will be responsible for building and driving a world-class learning strategy that empowers employees across geographies.
This role will ensure training initiatives are aligned with business priorities, promote a culture of continuous learning, and enable leadership development globally.
As the central point for global L&D, the position requires balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution, while ensuring consistency, scalability, and cultural sensitivity across regions.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Development & Alignment:


- Define, implement, and continuously refine a global learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals.

- Partner with leadership to assess future capability needs and design L&D interventions to close gaps.

- Develop frameworks for succession planning, talent readiness, and leadership pipeline building.


Program Design & Execution:


- Create scalable training programs (functional, technical, behavioral, leadership) for diverse

global teams.

- Design leadership development and high-potential programs to groom future leaders.

- Integrate modern learning methodologies blended learning, coaching, mentoring, and experiential learning.

- Foster a learning culture that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and self-driven development.


Global Enablement & Technology:


- Lead global deployment and optimization of a Learning Management System (LMS).

- Leverage AI, digital tools, and analytics to enhance learner experience and measure effectiveness.

- Curate learning content through global partnerships, vendors, and internal SMEs.


Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:


- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR teams on learning strategies.

- Collaborate with regional leaders to address local training needs while maintaining global consistency.

- Manage external vendors and ensure cost-effective, high-quality delivery.


Measurement & Impact:


- Define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to evaluate training effectiveness and business impact.

- Track learning ROI, employee performance improvement, and alignment with talent retention goals.

- Continuously optimize programs based on learner feedback, analytics, and business outcomes.


Leadership & People Management:


- Lead and mentor a team of L&D specialists across regions.

- Build internal faculty/SME networks to strengthen knowledge transfer.

- Promote inclusion and cultural awareness in global training programs.


Qualifications & Experience:


- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in L&D, with at least 5 years in a global leadership role.

- Proven expertise in designing and implementing global training strategies.

- Strong experience in leadership development, change management, and succession planning.

- Hands-on experience with LMS platforms, digital learning tools, and e-learning content development.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills across diverse cultures.

- Postgraduate degree in HR, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
