Role Overview:

The IT Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organizations IT infrastructure, cloud environments, DevOps operations, and overall system reliability. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and scalability of all platforms while aligning with business objectives and compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

Roles and Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure & Operations:

- Manage day-to-day IT operations, including servers, networks, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)

- Ensure high availability, uptime, and performance of all production systems

- Oversee incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis

- Maintain system monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning

DevOps & Deployment Management:

- Oversee CI/CD pipelines and release management processes

- Ensure smooth execution of deployment cycles and environment management

- Standardize deployment practices and reduce manual interventions

- Drive automation across infrastructure and operations

Cloud & Platform Management:

- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)

- Monitor usage, performance, and cost optimization

- Ensure proper backup, disaster recovery, and failover mechanisms

Security & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and other compliance standards

- Implement and monitor security controls, access management, and data protection

- Work closely with audit teams for compliance readiness and certifications

- Manage vulnerability assessments and security patches

Team Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps / IT Engineers

- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure SLA adherence

- Conduct training sessions and promote knowledge sharing

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

- Manage relationships with cloud providers, tool vendors, and external partners

- Collaborate with development, product, and business teams

- Provide regular updates to leadership on system performance and risks

Process Improvement & Strategy:

- Define and implement IT policies, SOPs, and best practices

- Drive continuous improvement in system reliability and operational efficiency

- Participate in solution architecture and new product planning

Required Skills:

- 7- 12 years of experience in IT Operations / DevOps / Infrastructure

- 2- 4 years in a leadership or managerial role

- Experience managing SaaS platforms or high-traffic applications

Technical Skills:

- Strong experience with AWS / Azure / GCP (AWS preferred)

- Hands-on knowledge of:

i. CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

ii. Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes good to have)

iii. Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, etc.)

- Good understanding of:

i. Networking, firewalls, VPNs

ii. Database systems (RDS, SQL, NoSQL)

iii. Scripting (Bash, Python preferred)

Compliance & Security:

- Incident response

- Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II

- Understanding of:

i. Access control

ii. Encryption (at rest & in transit)
