Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end investment banking transactions across buy-side and sell-side mandates within the startup ecosystem.

- Identify, evaluate, and execute high-potential startup investment opportunities across sectors and growth stages.

- Conduct market research, industry analysis, financial analysis, valuation assessment, and due diligence for investment - opportunities.

- Build and manage a strong pipeline of startups for investment, fundraising, and strategic transactions.

- Work closely with internal investment teams, AIFs, VC networks, founders, and strategic investors for investment evaluation and execution.

- Support investment decision-making, portfolio monitoring, and strategic transaction planning.

- Lead fundraising, capital raise, and M&A mandates for startups from initiation to successful closure.

- Prepare and review investor collaterals including pitch decks, teasers, information memorandums (IMs), financial models, valuation reports, and transaction presentations.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with Venture Capital firms, Family Offices, Angel Networks, Institutional Investors, and Strategic Investors.

- Drive investor outreach, discussions, negotiations, follow-ups, and mandate closures independently.

- Act as a strategic interface between startup founders and investor communities throughout the transaction lifecycle.

- Manage the complete transaction process including sourcing, due diligence coordination, data room management, investor communication, documentation, and deal closure.

- Coordinate with legal, compliance, finance, and operational stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.

- Develop long-term investor and founder relationships to drive repeat mandates and strategic partnerships.

- Mentor and guide investment banking analysts and associates on research, financial modeling, transaction execution, and client management.

- Review transaction deliverables and ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.

- Drive accountability, execution efficiency, and process excellence within the investment banking team.

- Work closely with leadership teams to strengthen BizDateUp's investment banking and startup fundraising ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate Criteria

- 3+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Deal Execution, Startup Fundraising, Corporate Finance, Venture Capital, or related domains.

- Must have at least 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically within the startup ecosystem handling startup fundraising or investment transactions.

- Proven experience interacting directly with startup founders, Venture Capital firms, Family Offices, Angel Investors, and Strategic Investors.

- Strong expertise in preparing investor materials including pitch decks, financial models, teasers, information memorandums (IMs), and transaction documents.

- Proven ability to independently manage the complete deal lifecycle from sourcing and investor outreach to negotiation and successful closure.

- Strong understanding of startup fundraising processes, investment structures, valuation methodologies, and transaction execution.

- Experience working with Investment Banking firms, Startup Fundraising Platforms, Venture Capital firms, Private Equity firms, or Corporate Finance advisory firms.

- Strong financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and analytical capabilities.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to manage multiple live mandates and work in a fast-paced startup and investment ecosystem.

- Prior experience independently closing startup fundraising or investment deals is mandatory.

- Experience mentoring or leading small teams of analysts or associates will be preferred.

- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive transactions with minimal supervision.

- Comfortable working in a hybrid individual contributor and team leadership role.

- MBA in Finance, CA, CFA, or equivalent finance-related qualification will be preferred.
