About the Role:

We are looking for a highly driven Investment Banking Manager to lead end-to-end transactions across buy-side and sell-side mandates with a strong focus on the startup ecosystem. This role involves working closely with founders, venture capital funds, family offices, strategic investors, and internal investment teams to drive investments, fundraising mandates, and successful deal closures.

The ideal candidate should possess strong deal execution capabilities, deep exposure to startup fundraising transactions, and the ability to independently manage mandates while leading a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

Buy-Side Startup Investment Focus:

- Identify, evaluate, and execute startup investment opportunities across sectors.

- Conduct market research, financial analysis, commercial assessments, and due diligence activities.

- Build and manage a strong pipeline of high-potential startup opportunities.

- Work closely with internal investment teams, AIFs, and investor networks to support investment decisions.

- Contribute to portfolio monitoring, investment evaluation, and strategic recommendations.

Sell-Side Fundraising & Transaction Advisory:

- Lead end-to-end fundraising and M&A mandates for startup clients.

- Prepare investor-facing materials including pitch decks, information memorandums (IMs), teasers, and financial models.

- Leverage existing networks to connect founders with VC funds, Family Offices, Angel Networks, and Strategic Investors.

- Drive investor discussions, negotiations, and transaction processes through to successful mandate closure.

- Build and strengthen investor relationships to accelerate deal execution.

Investor & Stakeholder Management:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with VCs, Family Offices, Angel Investors, Corporates, and founder communities.

- Act as a key interface between founders and investors throughout transaction lifecycles.

- Drive long-term engagement and repeat transaction opportunities across stakeholders.

Deal Execution & Process Management:

- Manage the complete transaction lifecycle from origination and sourcing to due diligence, negotiation, and closure.

- Coordinate due diligence processes, documentation, data room management, and stakeholder communication.

- Collaborate closely with legal, compliance, finance, and transaction stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.

Team Leadership:

- Mentor and guide investment banking analysts on financial modeling, research, transaction execution, and deliverable quality.

- Review work outputs and ensure high standards across transaction deliverables.

- Drive accountability, operational efficiency, and strong execution discipline within the team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Mandatory Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, deal execution, transaction advisory, or startup fundraising, including 2+ years specifically within the startup ecosystem.

- Strong experience interacting with Founders, Venture Capital Funds, Family Offices, Angel Investors, and Strategic Investors.

- Proven experience preparing pitch decks, financial models, investment teasers, and information memorandums (IMs).

- Hands-on experience managing the complete deal lifecycle from sourcing and investor outreach to negotiations and closure.

- Background from Investment Banking firms, Startup Fundraising Platforms, VC firms, PE firms, or related transaction advisory environments.

- Demonstrated ability to independently close deals, not limited to supporting execution teams.

- Comfortable operating in a hybrid individual contributor and leadership role, managing and mentoring a small team of investment banking analysts.

- Strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
