Key Responsibilities:
1. Buy-Side (Startup Investing Focus):
- Identify, evaluate, and execute startup investment opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth market research, financial analysis, and due diligence.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of high-potential startups.
- Work closely with internal investment teams, AIFs, and investor networks.
- Support investment decision-making and portfolio tracking.
2. Sell-Side (Fundraising & Deal Closure):
- Lead end-to-end fundraising and M&A mandates for startups.
- Prepare investor collaterals including pitch decks, financial models, teasers, and IMs.
- Leverage strong relationships to connect with VC funds, Family Offices, and Strategic Investors.
- Actively drive discussions, negotiations, and ensure successful closure of mandates.
- Build and maintain a strong investor network for faster deal execution.
3. Investor & Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with VCs, Angel Networks, Family Offices, and Corporates.
- Act as a key interface between founders and investors.
- Ensure long-term engagement and repeat transactions.
4. Deal Execution & Process Management:
- Manage the entire transaction lifecycle from origination to closure.
- Coordinate due diligence, data room management, and documentation.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and financial stakeholders.
5. Team Leadership:
- Mentor analysts and associates on financial modeling, research, and execution.
- Review and ensure quality of all deliverables.
- Drive efficiency and accountability within the team.
Must-Have Experience:
- Proven origination-to-closure track record in investment banking, M&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, private equity, or venture capital.
- Demonstrated depth in at least two of: M&A, PE/VC fundraising, capital raising, pre-IPO / IPO advisory, debt raising, structured finance, strategic advisory.
- An active, current network across founders, promoters, PE/VC funds, family offices, HNIs, or institutional investors.
- Strong command of Indian capital markets and the broader deal ecosystem.
- Experience leading transaction teams and owning senior client relationships independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA / PGDM in Finance from a reputed institution; CA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification an advantage.
