Sales Manager (International Sales) - Mumbai
Job Description:

We have been mandated by a large conglomerate in Steel manufacturing for the below mentioned role.
Role & responsibilities:
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the international sales function, driving growth in overseas markets through strategic sales initiatives, market expansion, and customer relationship management in the Stainless Steel Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic international sales plans to achieve company targets for revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Identify and establish relationships with new customers in target geographies (e.g., United States/ Canada/Mexico).
- Manage existing international client relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities in the global steel market.
- Negotiate and close deals with overseas buyers, trading companies, and EPC contractors.
- Coordinate with internal departments (production, logistics, QA/QC) to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance for export orders.
- Represent the company at international trade fairs, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
- Monitor export documentation and compliance with international trade regulations and Incoterms.
- Prepare and present monthly/quarterly sales performance reports to management.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure timely collections and credit control.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, International Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Experience:
- 7 - 12 years of Sales experience in steel or heavy industrial sectors (Stainless Steel, long products, flat products, steel tubes, or any engineering product etc.).
- Proven track record of generating sales in new markets and building long-term business partnerships.
- Must have US Visa
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
- Familiarity with export regulations, Incoterms, and trade finance.
