Description:
Qualification: MBA / Chemical Engineering / Graduate in Science or Commerce
Experience: 10 - 15 years in International Chemical Sales, including 5+ years in a leadership role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth in global chemical markets.
- Identify and penetrate new international markets, distributors, and key accounts.
- Lead end-to-end export operations, pricing, contract negotiations, and order management.
- Build and manage strong relationships with international customers, distributors, and trading partners.
- Oversee P&L responsibility for international sales; ensure profitability and business sustainability.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting exports.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless export execution.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the international sales team to achieve business objectives.
- Represent the company in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry forums.
- Drive initiatives for customer retention, new product introduction, and market diversification.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Deep understanding of chemical products and export documentation (DGFT, EXIM policies, shipping, LC, etc.).
- Proven track record in international B2B sales and business development.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Analytical mindset with commercial acumen and results-driven approach.
- Exposure to key global markets such as the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, or Latin America.
- Experience with commodity and specialty chemicals export businesses.
- Strong network of international buyers, agents, and distributors.
- Prior experience in managing large-volume export portfolios.
