Job role: Manager International Business
Client Overview:
Our client is a large, established producer of food additives and spices, with a strong presence in the global commodities market. They are looking to hire an experienced to drive B2B export sales, build international partnerships, and scale revenue across key global markets.
Role Overview:
The Sales Head Export Commodities (Spices) will be responsible for leading and growing B2B export sales across multiple international markets. This role requires deep expertise in spices exports, commodity trading, and international market dynamics, along with strong execution capabilities across the end-to-end export sales lifecycle.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
1. Export Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new international B2B clients for Spices, Processed Foods, and Agri-products.
- Drive export sales across key markets including Middle East, Russia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Sri Lanka, and Australia.
- Build and manage long-term relationships with importers, distributors, traders, and institutional buyers.
2. Export Strategy & Market Expansion
- Develop and implement a comprehensive export sales strategy to increase market penetration, visibility, and revenue in the global B2B segment.
- Analyze international market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor activity to optimize export growth.
- Identify new geographies, channels, and partnership opportunities for sustained expansion.
3. Commodity Trading & Partnerships
- Lead commodity trading activities related to spices and agri-products.
- Build strong relationships with international trading partners and the global commodities ecosystem.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to maximize margins and volumes.
4. Export Operations & Execution
- Oversee end-to-end export sales operations, including inventory planning, order processing, and coordination with logistics teams.
- Ensure smooth order fulfillment, adherence to timelines, and high customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with internal teams (production, supply chain, quality, finance) to ensure seamless execution.
5. Marketing Support & Client Engagement
- Coordinate participation in international exhibitions, trade fairs, and buyer-seller meets.
- Manage customer visits, product presentations, and commercial discussions.
- Prepare presentations, arrange product samples, and manage approval processes with international clients.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 10-12 years of hands-on experience in export sales, specifically in spices and agri-commodities.
- Strong proven track record in driving export sales growth and building international B2B businesses.
- Mandatory expertise in commodity trading, export sales trends, and global market practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute export strategies that optimize volumes, margins, and partnerships.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience working with multiple international markets and export regulations.
