Our client is a well established FMCG (D2C) startup in Bangalore. They are into nature-inspired complete range of Skin Care, Hair Care, and Bath & Body Products. The team is looking to hire Innovation Manager. Role : Innovation Manager Location : Bengaluru Roles & Responsibility : The role will be working with the New Product Development Team to work on current and new categories/brands across Personal Care, Makeup and Healthcare categories. The ideal candidate would have exposure across brand (have a good grasp of category P&Ls, campaign planning) and innovation (good understanding of product, R&D, formulations etc). 1- Ideation and conceptualization of new products in concert with customer and business needs. 2- Planning of lab trials and designing experiments along with Project Scientists for product development 3- Input given into the product development roadmap while working closely with Product Management Team 4- Coordinates with purchase, vendors, and analytical lab for new raw material sourcing and finished product specification 5- Liaison with independent testing lab/3P manufacturer for analysis and facility scoping, respectively. 6- Technology transfer of newly developed products at manufacturing site. 7- Designing stability studies, pre-formulation studies and compatibility studies. 8- Implementing standard documentation practice in place, starting from Specification to Master Formula Records. 9- Create mechanisms for post-launch evaluation and capturing customer feedback to flow back into the innovation funnel. Educational/ Experience requirements : 1. Min 8-15 years' experience in new product development in personal care category. 2. Experience in end-to-end network management for a new product launch - Formulation, Claims, Packaging, Artwork. 3. Understanding of Primary and Secondary research to identify opportunities for launch - ability to independently do Qualitative and Quantitative Research to identify customer and market need gap. 4. Basic understanding of constructing a business case for a launch and evaluate launch performance.
