Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end GST compliance process, including timely filing of returns and reconciliation of input tax credits, to ensure zero-penalty operations.
- Manage departmental audits and assessments by coordinating with tax authorities and external consultants to resolve queries and minimize litigation exposure.
- Provide strategic advisory support to internal stakeholders on tax implications for new business initiatives, ensuring tax-efficient decision-making across the organization.
- Oversee the maintenance of robust documentation and tax records to facilitate smooth internal and external audits.
- Monitor legislative updates and policy changes to proactively adjust internal processes, ensuring the business remains ahead of regulatory shifts.
Required Skillset:
- Possess a deep functional understanding of GST, VAT, and Customs laws, backed by the ability to interpret complex legal provisions and apply them to business scenarios.
- Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities to manage large datasets and perform complex tax reconciliations with high precision.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical tax concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders and represent the company effectively before tax authorities.
