Manager - Indirect Taxation - CA

Role Overview:

As a team member the individual will be responsible for supporting the indirect tax function of the Company. The individual will be responsible for acting as the in-house tax advisor to business, managing litigation, leading implementation of tax processes as well overseeing the necessary compliances in the areas of indirect taxation. The individual could also be responsible for managing the overseas indirect taxation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Responsible for tax compliance workings and reconciliations for tax filings of the Group.

- Providing indirect tax advisory support to Business Units and Internal Functions. The expectation is to correlate tax laws with Business needs along with mitigating tax exposure (if any)

- Efficient management of indirect tax litigation and assessments by interacting with tax authorities and getting across Company's point of view.

- Responsible for monitoring, identifying and implementing effective tax processes and controls to identify any areas of tax or process leakage

- Conducting periodic tax training for internal stakeholders.

- Coordinating with internal and external auditors and ensuring maintenance of complete document trail for statutory / tax audit purposes.

- Coordinating with external consultants, internal stakeholders and managing the overseas tax compliances.

- Apprising the team on latest tax updates having an impact on the Group.

What We're Looking For:

- A qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years' post qualification experience in Indirect tax and International taxation with strong analytical skills.

- Expertise in Indirect Tax with a working knowledge of Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing and exposure to International Tax.

- Hands on approach with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

- Prior Industry Experience would be preferred.
