About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Manager to lead strategic HR initiatives for a well-established IT company in Calicut. This role will focus on HR implementation, policy development, and regulatory compliance, while working alongside an existing team that handles operational HR functions like recruitment, payroll, and general administration.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Implementation

- Drive HR strategy in alignment with business goals and evolving industry trends.

- Lead the implementation of new HR processes, frameworks, and digital tools across departments.

- Monitor and optimize the effectiveness of HR policies and systems.

Policy Formulation & Governance

- Draft, revise, and standardize HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Ensure consistent implementation and communication of HR policies across the organization.

Compliance & Legal

- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance (EPF, ESI, labour laws, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.).

- Liaise with legal and compliance bodies during audits or inspections.

- Manage disciplinary processes and maintain proper documentation.

Performance Management & Organizational Development

- Oversee performance appraisal systems (e.g., KPI, 360-degree feedback).

- Analyze performance data to identify gaps and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.

- Coordinate training and development plans in collaboration with department heads.

Employee Relations & Engagement

- Act as a bridge between management and employees for effective communication and conflict resolution.

- Champion employee engagement programs to enhance morale and retention.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

- 4-10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the IT or service industry.

- Strong background in HR strategy, compliance, policy drafting, and implementation.

- Excellent understanding of Indian labour laws and HRIS systems.

- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Certifications

- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, Six Sigma Green Belt, SAP HCM) are a plus.
