Core Responsibilities:
The Manager - HR & IR will be the primary custodian of both human capital strategy and industrial peace, with key responsibilities including:
Industrial Relations & Union Management:
- Lead and manage all aspects of Industrial Relations (IR), including handling union negotiations, maintaining positive workmen relations, and ensuring a cooperative work environment.
- Manage disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflict resolution processes in compliance with labor laws and company policy.
- Oversee wage settlements and collective bargaining agreements.
Statutory Compliance & Audits:
- Ensure absolute and timely statutory compliance under all relevant labor laws (e.g., Factories Act, ESIC, PF, Gratuity, Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labour Act, etc.).
- Lead and successfully manage internal and external HR Audits and statutory inspections.
- Maintain accurate records and necessary documentation as mandated by law.
Talent Management & HR Operations:
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process for workmen and staff, ensuring timely fulfillment of manpower requirements.
- Manage the Performance Management System (PMS), including goal setting, reviews, and continuous feedback mechanisms for the plant workforce.
- Handle core HR operational activities such as payroll inputs, employee data management, attendance, leave, and separation processes.
Employee Welfare & Engagement:
- Develop and execute employee welfare programs, engagement activities, and initiatives to boost morale and productivity within the manufacturing unit.
- Manage the administration of employee benefits and services.
Candidate Requirements:
Education: MBA in HR / Personnel Management (or equivalent qualification) is mandatory.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in leading HR & IR functions within the Manufacturing Industry is required.
IR Expertise: Must possess a proven track record in IR and union handling, including successful negotiation and management of labor disputes and agreements.
Compliance Proficiency: Strong, verifiable experience in HR audits and comprehensive statutory compliance management is essential.
Location Preference: The candidate must ideally be residing nearby (Wada / Palghar / Thane / Navi Mumbai / Mumbai) or be willing to relocate immediately.
