
Description:
We are looking for an execution-first HR Generalist Manager who can independently manage the end-to-end HR function. This is a hands-on role that requires strong ownership across Payroll, Recruitment, HR Operations, Policies/Process, Compliance, Employee Engagement, HR Data/Systems and Performance Management once it comes up.
You will be responsible for running HR smoothly on a day-to-day basis, ensuring employees are supported, processes are followed, and HR operations are accurate and on time.
Key Responsibilities
1) Performance Management
Own the complete Performance Management cycle end-to-end:
- goal setting / KRAs / KPI tracking
- quarterly & annual reviews
- performance feedback processes
- calibration support with leadership
- performance documentation and improvement plans (PIP)
- Track review timelines and ensure 100% execution across teams
- Maintain performance records, review history, improvement discussions, and closure documentation
- Work with managers to improve quality of feedback and consistency of performance evaluation
2) Payroll Management
Manage monthly payroll end-to-end including:
- attendance inputs, leave and LOP tracking
- variable payouts / incentives / reimbursement coordination
- salary revisions and performance-linked changes
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timelines, and audit readiness
- Manage and coordinate payroll-related statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, etc.)
- Handle employee payroll queries, corrections and closures professionally
- Maintain payroll registers, compliance trackers, and payroll documentation
3) Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage recruitment lifecycle:
- maintain all trackers
- job postings, screening, scheduling interviews
- coordination with hiring managers
- offer rollouts, negotiation support, joining follow-ups
- Ensure documentation completion:
- offer letter, joining documents, background verification (if applicable)
- Own onboarding execution:
- induction plan, policy orientation, employee setup on systems
4) HR Operations (Policies, Process, Systems, Data)
- Ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations including:
- employee master data maintenance
- HR documentation, letters, records & process (confirmation, appraisal, exit, etc.)
- leave policies, attendance policy, employee queries
- Maintain / improve HR processes and SOPs with an execution mindset
- Handle HR systems and HR data management:
- HRMS updates, accuracy and hygiene
- monthly HR reports (attendance, headcount, attrition, leave, payroll summary)
- Ensure HR files and documentation are structured and compliant
5) Compliance & Statutory Management
- Manage compliance processes:
- PF, ESI, PT, Shops & Establishment, Labour Law requirements monthly and annual returns as applicable
- Coordinate with external vendors/consultants (if any) for compliance and payroll tasks
- Ensure legally compliant processes for employee exits/terminations and documentation
6) HR Business Partnering (Execution + Support)
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers for HR support
- Help managers resolve people-related issues (attendance, discipline, performance, conduct)
- Support organization structure updates, reporting line changes, role documentation, etc.
7) Employee Engagement & Culture
- Drive execution of engagement activities and employee communication:
- surveys, monthly engagement plan, celebrations, recognition
- policy communication and clarity sessions
- Own grievance handling and closure tracking
- Support leadership in maintaining a strong employee experience

- Payroll executed with 100% accuracy and on-time closure
- Performance management cycle completed with timely reviews and documentation
- HR operations running smoothly with minimal escalations
- Strong HR data accuracy and reporting hygiene

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong hands-on experience in Payroll + Performance Management
- Understanding of HR compliance and payroll statutory framework (PF/ESI/PT/TDS basics)
- Excellent execution, follow-through, and ownership mindset
- Strong documentation discipline and HR data accuracy
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder management
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with ambiguity
