Job Title: Tower Lead - HR Data Analytics

Location: Chennai

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Tower Lead to oversee HR Data Analytics operations. This leadership role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong stakeholder management. The Tower Lead will manage end-to-end HR data processes, lead a team of analysts, and ensure delivery excellence across HR systems and reporting platforms.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of HR functional processes, retail business dynamics, and technical products such as HRIS, data platforms, and reporting tools, along with proven experience in leading teams and driving transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Governance:

- Lead and manage the HR Data Analytics tower, ensuring alignment with business objectives and SLAs.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence:

- Oversee collection, cleaning, and analysis of HR data from multiple sources (HRIS, ATS, LMS, payroll systems).

- Ensure timely delivery of dashboards and reports for workforce planning, talent management, diversity & inclusion, and employee engagement.

- Maintain governance on data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GDPR/privacy and internal policies.

Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for HR, IT, and business units for data-related needs.

- Partner with product owners and technical teams to align HR functional requirements with system capabilities.

Strategic Initiatives:

- Drive HR transformation projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process redesigns.

- Contribute to automation, data integration, and system enhancement initiatives.

- Support change management and adoption tracking through analytical insights.

Documentation & Standards:

- Maintain data dictionaries, process documentation, and ensure adherence to governance frameworks.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.

- 8+ years of experience in HR data analytics, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or tower lead role, preferably in a retail or consumer-facing environment.

- Strong proficiency in HRIS platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, ServiceNow, Cornerstone) and advanced Excel skills.

- Knowledge of HR functional areas (recruitment, compensation, learning, payroll, time management, and data integrations).

- Experience in working with technical teams and understanding product lifecycle.

- Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL knowledge is an asset.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in HR transformation and large-scale system implementations.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
