Business Development Manager / Head Drone Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Revenue Generation:
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve annual sales and revenue targets.
- Identify new market opportunities in defense, law enforcement, agriculture, infrastructure, surveillance, and logistics sectors.
- Drive adoption of drones for both commercial and government applications.
Market Development:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
- Lead participation in drone expos, defense exhibitions, and industry networking events.
Government & Enterprise Sales:
- Build strong relationships with government departments (MoD, DRDO, Police, Disaster Management, etc.), PSU clients, and large enterprises.
- Navigate tendering, procurement, and bidding processes for government contracts.
Partnerships & Alliances:
- Establish collaborations with technology providers, R&D institutions, and international OEMs for joint ventures or product integration.
- Manage partnerships with distributors, resellers, and service providers.
Product & Solution Positioning:
- Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to align product development with market demand.
- Customize proposals and technical solutions for high-value projects.
Strategic Planning & Reporting:
- Create sales forecasts, track KPIs, and report performance to the leadership team.
- Develop multi-year growth roadmaps and market entry strategies.
- Strong sales negotiation and closing skills
- Knowledge of drone regulations (DGCA, MoCA, DGCA Remote Pilot License norms)
- Understanding of government procurement & defense acquisition processes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills
- Strategic thinking with ability to execute operationally
